Welcome to the New America, Where White Milk Equals White Power
It’s getting more and more ridiculous around here.
(Says one Latrino, Trey Sanchez, about another, Samantha Diaz, and her article.)
California State University-Long Beach student and staff writer of the Daily 49er Samantha Diaz claims milk is the “new symbol of hate” in America. Her “proof” is highly suspect but she believes “white nationalists and neo-nazis [use] milk as [a] form of racial supremacy.” What’s worse, Diaz contends, we are all too consumed by the health benefits of drinking milk that we are blinded to the fact that every sip is a declaration of white power.
“You, along with the rest of the nation, have been so accustomed to hearing the benefits of milk that you probably didn’t even realize the subtle racism hidden in our health facts,” Diaz writes.
Because “the United States was founded on racism,” Diaz argues, “every institution we uphold has racist roots that are sometimes difficult to catch and even harder to fight against.”
And there it is: everything is truly racist in the mind of the Left — Voter ID laws, state testing, and even federal dietary guidelines, she claims.
Diaz pointed to an article in the leftist outlet Mother Jones claiming that blacks (she said “Africans”) aren’t affected by osteoporosis like regular “Americans” (her word). In other words, the “‘stronger bones’ rhetoric” is meant for a white audience, not black. (See? Racism is even in advertising!) The article also stated “milk is non-beneficial to Africans” and could be “detrimental to their health.” No other citations were given to substantiate these claims.
Another “source” was this strange video of shirtless white guys trolling actor Shia LaBeouf’s “He Will Not Divide Us” livestream project in New York. They chugged milk and made incoherent ramblings about the “vegan agenda” and “drinking pure racism:”
So, a bunch of crazed idiots drinking milk makes all milk drinkers racist? Got it. She writes, “Milk has now become a symbol of racial superiority for white nationalists and neo-Nazis, claiming that their ability to process milk makes them racially superior.”
And apparently, this idea made it into a new horror movie by Jordan Peele, one-half of the Comedy Central duo, Key and Peele. In his movie, Get Out, Peele “artistically addresses the new medium of hate with one of the film’s most eerie scenes, which shows a white woman meticulously sipping milk from a bendy straw,” Davis writes. “The scene would have gone unnoticed in the movie, but audiences were forced to notice the long, drawn-out frame of the woman taking a sip; Peele wanted people to notice.”
“That Peele came up with the idea for the scene days before shooting began, not knowing that the release of his movie would be perfectly timed with the sudden rise of interest for milk among white supremacists, is proof that the connection between milk and white supremacy is gaining visibility,” Diaz writes breathlessly, with no shred of evidence for any connection beyond coincidence.
And while there is little logic to the train of thoughts involved in choosing the next inanimate face of racism, our country’s health guidelines certainly take part of the blame for this one.
Until we recognize the racist roots in our own systems of government and fight to remove them, we are all in part responsible for the white, creamy form of racism currently taking hold in our country.
We guess these guys didn’t get the memo:
