Set ten years in the future, ‘Bushwick’ is a new movie about a southern secessionist militia which, for some bizarre reason, invades a multicultural New York neighborhood. Ostensibly, for plot reasons, so they can then use it as a negotiating tool with the federal government. From the Jewish Hollywood perspective, as the Jewish New Yorker reporter writes, the diversity of the population is their strength as they unite to fight back against the gun-toting White rednecks. Sure thing.

So, why are Jews in Hollywood and New York obsessing about White secessionist militias, and wondering whether they would fare better than multicultural forces in a coming civil war?
